Installation

:!: Before you begin!

Please make sure that you have added the x2go repository to your package management system. The required steps are described here: adding the x2go repository (Debian) and here: adding the x2go repository (Ubuntu)

Installing the X2go Plasmoid Applet (KDE 4.*)

X2go bindings for KDE4/Plasmoid (package name: x2goplasmoidbindings) will add additional functionality to your KDE4 Desktop. You'll be able to access and unmount shared filesystems.

You'll also be able to suspend your session with just a click on a menu entry → “suspend session”. You'll need to install the package on the server side!

$ aptitude install x2goplasmoidbindings

After the installation every user on the server will have the possibility to add the x2goplasmoid applet to the desktop or to the taskbar.

:!: Note that the package has been renamed from x2goplasmoid to x2goplasmoidbindings in 2011/05.
